As a follow-up to my email from last week concerning the problem with the Java update, I have put together a document describing how to remove the Java update and re-install a compatible Java version.

So the bottom-line is to avoid installing a Java 7 update, but if you do, you can remove it and roll back to the previous version by following these notes.
